The syllabus consists of an action learning program and is specially developed for JazzBXL students.
General subjects like harmony, rhythm, ear training and solfege find their basics in practice.
The lessons are offered in small practical modules.
The method has been constructed for the student to easily finding his way in putting theory into practice.
The student will learn to construct drills by himself and to apply them in pieces that are played in the ensembles.
All subjects will be combined until they form a whole, the same as in ‘real life’.
In 2012 - 2013 we will add a new item, especially for the preparatory and 1st year. We will offer 'practicum' lessons. For the beginning improvisor the most difficult appears to be 'how to practice'.You are given all sorts of exercices and a way to approach the chords of a tune in order to construct an improvisation.
